Wreck Me (Corrupt Legacy Series #2)

She blinks at me, completely dazed. Her beautiful complexion turns flushed. She is all rosy and sighs contentedly.

I thought I’d feel better and calmer, but I only crave her more.

I’m so fucking hard, but this is not about me.

She curls herself on the side of my bed, suddenly shy.

“Hi, princess. Look at me.”

“I can’t because you make me weak. Happy?”

“No, because I want you and I am not getting you completely, and that maddens me…”

Rolling out of bed, she picks her clothes from the floor and dresses quickly.

“Please, stay away. I need you to stay away.”

“Why? Tell me why? Give me a fucking good reason. Because I still have your taste in my mouth and your juices on my fingers.”

“Kaden and I… we’re going to get married at some point. Is that a good enough reason?”

That was a clean shot to my chest. It’s a damn miracle I can still stand with my heart no longer beating and the blood seeping out of me.

Her eyes glisten with unshed tears.

“I’m sorry.”

“Just leave, Abigail.”

When she does, the walls close in on me.

I rake a hand through my hair and snatch a bottle of whiskey from the closet. Dropping on the couch, I toss the bottle back and drink until it knocks me the fuck out.

On Monday morning, I change into my uniform. Running a hand through my disheveled hair, looking the way I feel—completely messed up.

My first class is one I share with Abigail. I sit next to her, not even remotely in control of my emotions. Marriage. She talked about fucking marriage.

Yet, she risked that to fool around with me? She doesn’t seem the type, but what the fuck do I know?

“You’re quiet this morning,” she whispers, not looking at me but at a blank sheet of paper.

“And you’re what, engaged?”

“Not yet.”

“So, what was I? The last hurrah?”

She turns, her hand reaching out to me, but she stops midway.

“Please don’t make this harder for me…”

I bottled up so much shit that my body wants it expelled.

“What, sweetheart? Wanted to ride a second dick for comparison?” If looks could kill, I’d be already buried. “Truth hurts, huh?”

“Well, for someone who wanted to rub it in Kaden’s face that you could get in my pants in front of him, the joke is on you.”
