Wreck Me (Corrupt Legacy Series #2)

She turns, and the guy’s attention moves from her to me.

“You know him?” the guy asks.

“I thought I did, Ty. My mistake.”

Blake chuckles, and the guy extends his hand and says, “Hi, man. Huge fan. I’m Tyson.”

I take his hand in mine, applying a bit more pressure. He snickers under his breath, and Abigail shouts, “Who’s getting his ass kicked tonight?”

“You go against Christoph first,” Tyson says.

“What the fuck is happening here?” I ask, the clear picture revealing itself, making me lose my damn mind.

If they’re doing what I think they are doing, I’m hauling her ass off and spanking her at the same time. It’s a damn cliff, and the road barely holds two cars. If I say this as a professional racer, it means something. These people are tired of living.

She settles in her car, grinning and blowing me a kiss.

I dash toward her, and Blake grips my elbow, holding me back. “You shouldn’t have taught her in the first place. Now watch.”

“She could get fucking hurt.”

He cocks his head and says, “This is nothing for her.”

What happened in the two years I was gone?

Blake bets on her, and that’s truly the only non-surprise of the night.

“Are you fucking betting? You brainless idiots.”

“She started it.” Blake shrugs, like I am overreacting.

I swear from the start to the finish line, my heart escaped and returned to my chest a good few times. Knees giving up on me, I plop on the hood of my car, and Tyson gives me a curious look.

“Who’s next?” Abigail asks as soon as she gets out.

Stress reaches a whole new level, and I do a hundred breathing exercises to calm down.

She pulls her hair into a low ponytail and grabs the Gatorade from Tyson.

“Are you fucking insane?” I ask through gritted teeth.

“Ah, did you worry about me?”

The tension feels like a charged wire, ready to snap at any moment.

It’s Blake’s turn, and when he wins, she jumps up and down, grinning at him. She appears to be in her element, almost relaxed, which eases me.

Blake looks at me and says, “You can still leave.”

I cross my arms. “Fuck you. I’m staying right here.”

“Stubborn asshole.”

“If something ever happens to her, sleep with one open eye.”

“Do the things she did for you count as well?”

I squint at him. “If you have something to tell me, do it already.”
