“No, I just need to write a few things down to remember them.”
His gaze trails over me before he gives me a curt nod.
Maybe the contract isn’t his idea. Maybe he’s just going along with it and doesn’t really want me. An ache forms in my stomach, which is ridiculous. Before Friday, I was determined not to pursue anything with my new bosses. Now I’m upset because one out of the four hasn’t tried a thing with me over the past hour.
Greedy much? I try to shake off the hurt.
This week is about getting comfortable with the job, not trying to get four guys into bed with me. My brain stalls on that image. I’d been thinking one at a time, but that huge bed waiting for me brings to mind another picture of all of them touching me at once.
The elevator stops and Blake looks at me expectantly. Fuck me.
I shake off the naughty images lingering in my mind and head toward my desk. When I lower into my chair, I almost sigh in relief at being off my feet.
“Cooper will be out in fifteen minutes to begin his hour with you.” Blake stops beside me, close enough that his pant leg brushes my knee.
I lift my gaze to his green eyes. “That sounds good.”
“Noah is after. Then we have lunch with a new client and would like you to attend.” His eyes catch mine and my heartbeat quickens.
“Of course, Blake.” I can’t look away as he searches my eyes.
His hand clenches into a fist, and he releases it as he looks away from me. “This afternoon you’ll spend with me first, then Seth.”
Released from his spell, I nod and pull the notepad I found earlier over in front of me before I notice he hasn’t left.
“Is there anything else?” I bite my lower lip as I hold my breath. I don’t know what I’ve done to him, but he seems to be fighting something.
He shakes his head. “Make sure you stay on time.”
Shouldn’t be a problem. “Yes, Blake.”
His hand clenches as he walks to his office. I take in the line of his broad shoulders and narrow waist. His suit jacket covers most of him, but it strains against his muscles. His door closes, leaving me alone again. His unique blend of spice lingers around my desk. I inhale it and can’t help picturing more from him.
I’m not sure he wants me, but I know I want him. His deep voice whispering in my ear all the filthy things he wants to do to me. His large hands digging into my hips as he thrusts inside me.
Closing my eyes, I take a breath. I need to focus on getting to know these guys, making sure they aren’t jerks. Not dropping my panties on my first day of work.
Shaking my head, I write what I learned this morning and where everything is that I might need in the coming months. I’m sure most of the information will be repeated until I know it by heart. At least, I hope so.
Hope’s card goes beside my phone. If groceries get here around four, I should be able to make it down there at four thirty. I wonder how late Blake expects both of us to work.
I also need to invest in a pair of comfortable shoes to wear for when we walk everywhere. I didn’t realize these would take getting used to or that I’d need to break them in before I wore them. Lesson learned, but I’m stuck with them for the rest of the day.
“My turn.” Cooper’s deep voice literally sends shivers throughout my body.

Madison
Turning in my chair, I’m caught by Cooper’s sky blue eyes. His black hair is slicked back into a bun again. My fingers itch to tug it loose and see how long his hair actually is.
He’s gorgeous. They all are, but there’s something about the lightness in Cooper’s eyes that tugs at me.
He holds out his hand, and without a thought, I slip mine into his. Helping me from my chair, he draws me in close to him. His scent is sharper than Blake’s, clean and crisp. Even with my new heels, he towers over me. I can feel each breath race through me as we stand there. Eyes locked. So close to touching, but not quite close enough.
“Come on, Madison.” When he steps back, the air returns to my lungs. “We’ll talk in my office.”
