I lift my gaze to meet his eyes.
“This is where things get a little weird.” He rubs his hand over the back of his neck.
“Weird?” My knee starts bouncing slightly.
He chuckles, the sound a little harsh. “First off, anything said here stays between you and me. If this doesn’t sound like something you’re willing to try, then that’s as far as this goes. If at any time you decide this isn’t working, it ends.”
I shift in my seat so I’m facing him head on. That sounds reasonable. But I can’t imagine what he’s going to ask that could make this man nervous.
“We all want you to be more than just our assistant. So, what I need to know from you is, are you attracted to us?”
What? My breath catches in my throat.
“Is this a trap?” I bolt up from my seat. Did he honestly just ask me if I’m attracted to them? Not just him. Them? All of them? This isn’t a normal question employers ask before you begin a job.
He stands slowly and holds out his hands to calm me down. “This is why we want to discuss this. Please sit down, Madison.”
I narrow my eyes at him as I lower into the chair. This still feels like they’re trying to make me admit to being attracted to them. For what purpose? I don’t know. It’s not like I’d act on it.
He sits and loosens his tie. “We’re busy men, as I’ve said, and dating takes away from our careers. We’ve all discussed approaching you with this as an alternative. You are a very attractive woman. We would all like to share you, if you want.”
My brain stalls out. This doesn’t happen. Not in real life.
Do I want? I can’t stop thinking about it. Fantasizing about it. I have to stop myself from shifting in my seat as my pussy throbs for it. But this still seems like something that should get me in trouble. Sleeping with all four of my bosses?
I can’t find anything particularly wrong about what he just said, but I don’t want to give away anything either. They find me attractive? My heart flutters, and warmth flows through me.
Who wouldn’t find them attractive? I’m surprised they need to ask me. How many women would gladly drop everything to be with just one of these men?
“The two-week trial is just that. We’ll focus on training you for your career here at Morrigan, and you can decide whether you want to explore more with us.” Seth undoes the button at his collar, his fingers pulling at his shirt like it’s choking him.
“Let me see if I understand.” I take a deep breath, trying to make sense of this. “Please correct me if I’m wrong. All four of you want to enter into a sexual relationship with me because you’re too busy to go find single women to hook up with?”
“No.” Seth jerks like I hit him. “Not because we are too busy to find single women. We don’t want to just hook up with someone. We’re attracted to you and want to explore that if you’re open to it.”
I lick my suddenly dry lips. I can’t believe I’m actually considering this. “Let’s say, for argument’s sake, that I find all of you attractive too. And may be open to a sexual relationship. Maybe. What exactly do you want from me?”
He runs his hand over the back of his neck and then leans forward on the arm of the chair. “You would fill out consent forms for all of us. We would sit down and discuss a contract of behavior that suits all of our needs. We’re not paying you for sex, but we would give you a signing bonus for signing the consent forms, as they protect us from future litigation of sexual harassment.”
This sounds very methodical and clinical. But just talking about it is turning me on. “And if I want to withdraw consent?”
“You can do so at any point. No questions asked. This would be a consensual agreement between adults.” Seth relaxes a little. “You keep the bonus even if we never actually have sex.”
“How many women have you offered this to?” Curiosity gets the better of me. It’s not a sticking point, but I’m curious. How many women have turned this down? Unless the sex sucks, I’m not out yet. Or if they turn out to be jerks. These guys have haunted my dreams for the past few nights. If they are half as good as they were in my sleep, I’m all in.
“This particular deal? You’re the first. But to be transparent, we’ve tried this before. We only got to the sexual part of the deal with one assistant.”
Heat burns my chest as I think of that woman having these men. I swallow the frog in my throat. “What happened?”
His smile doesn’t reach his eyes. “She blackmailed us for money.”
“Oh.” That’s not cool. I’m not naive enough to believe everyone has good intentions, but that had to sting, to give that much trust to someone and have them throw it back in your face. “Are there rules?”
“Ones we all will agree to.” He nods. “These first weeks will be a trial run of the actual job. We’ll focus on work while you’re here, but I can’t guarantee we won’t pursue you at all. Which is why we want to lay this all out now.” Seth takes a breath and pulls over the other papers on his desk.
“When will we discuss the contract?” I cross my legs against the pulsing there. Obviously, that part of me is all on board.
“At the end of the trial period, we’ll decide as a group whether we go forward with that step.” Seth reaches out and brushes a stray strand of hair behind my ear. His touch leaves sparks in its wake. His eyes meet mine as his hand retreats.
