Tease Me (Private Listing #4)

She squeezes my arms and releases me. “You have a ride?”

I glance over at the bar and see Noah watching me. My heart fills.

“Yes, I do.”

She pats my arm. “Don’t be a stranger. We’ll talk soon.”

Somehow I doubt that. I’m not sure what she was looking for, but hopefully, she got it. Maybe she really did just want to catch up. Or maybe she was horrified that I was attacked at the benefit. I really don’t know. I don’t think I’ll ever fit into the wealthy world.

Monday morning comes way too soon. I’ve put up the dishes and have a pot of coffee started in the break room. I lean back against the counter to wait for the coffee to brew. Yesterday was low-key. We worked in the morning. I had lunch with Anna. The guys and I spent the afternoon watching a couple movies before dinner and bed.

Seth was excited to know that Elizabeth was sneaking around the benefit. It definitely lent itself to a clandestine meeting of some kind. We discussed Elizabeth and how we might figure out who she’s secretly seeing, but we didn’t come up with any good ideas.

Everyone seemed lost in their own thoughts after Blake’s team found the bug under the conference room table. It was almost obvious. The second one was not obvious. And, after a long talk, we left it where it was. It isn’t currently transmitting, but with Theo’s computer skills, we set up a trace protocol for when it activates.

Thankfully, our apartment is bug free as far as we know. The coffee finishes and I grab a cup for myself.

When I walk out of the break room area, someone clears their throat. My gaze flicks up to see Patrick Beck standing next to my desk.

“Sorry, I was getting coffee.” I rush around my desk and set the cup down.

“I wasn’t waiting long.” His gaze sweeps over me dismissively. “I just need to know where you want me to set up.”

“I’ll get Coop.” I turn and head to Coop’s door. I knock and wait. He left bed before I woke this morning. I missed seeing him.

“Come in.”

When I open his door, his brow furrows as he stares at a report. He gestures for me to enter the room and come closer.

“Patrick Beck wants to know where you want him to set up.” I rest my hands on the chair opposite Coop.

He lifts his gaze and looks me over, doing a much more thorough job than Patrick did. Seth has me in a black pencil skirt with a high waist and a billowy red blouse. His lingerie selection is black panties, black demi bra, and garters with thigh-high stockings. The red high heels have a little bow on the back. I pulled my hair into a low bun with tendrils framing my face and put on a bold red lipstick with minimal makeup.

His heated eyes lift to mine, making my insides thrum.

“You’re going to have to give me a minute, sweetheart.” Coop quirks a smile. “Otherwise, my cock will lead the way.”

I blush, realizing I left the door open and Patrick can probably hear Coop. At least we’re still technically engaged, and Patrick knows Coop and I are together. My face flashes hotter as I realize with horror: he’s their lawyer.

Every paper I’ve signed probably goes through Patrick. I never thought about that. Didn’t really think those documents left this office. I glance over my shoulder and hurry around Coop’s desk to stand beside him.

“Does Patrick get all of your legal documents?” I whisper, not wanting Patrick to hear me. My heart pounds and my eyes widen as I think of the NDA, the consent forms, the contract. My voice goes high. “Like our contract?”

“Whoa, Madison.” Coop draws me down to sit on his lap. “It’s fine. Patrick has been with us since the beginning of Morrigan Technology Group. He helped us with the case against Andrea and the NDA with Rachel. His firm handles everything for us.”

This isn’t making me feel better. He rubs his hand over my back.

“We wanted to do it right this time. Yes, he helped us draft your contracts and NDA. We have the originals here in Seth’s office, but Patrick has copies at his office. He deals with it directly, so he doesn’t have his paralegal or anyone else in the office look over the forms.” Coop takes my left hand with his ring still on it and threads our fingers together.

“He saw the checklist?” I never considered anyone, outside of Seth, Coop, Blake, and Noah, would see it. It’s one thing for them to know my limits and all those things I marked as maybe. Heat swamps my face.

I can’t face him again.

Coop smiles and shakes his head. “Not the checklist, but the contract we all signed.”

I’m not relieved. I used to watch this guy’s kids. What must he think of me now? I willingly agreed to a sex contract with four strangers. I took their money to sign consent forms.

My stomach roils. To someone outside of this arrangement, it could look like I took their money for sex.
