‘Watch yourself as you come.’ He’d been firm with her already, realising quickly that she quite liked him being bossy, but that voice…he’d never sounded like that. ‘I need you to see what I see.’

Erik lifted his hips as she ground onto him and she gasped. When he squeezed her breast she buckled, waves of euphoria crashing over her.

‘I said watch,’ he growled, holding her chin in place so she was facing her reflection again.

Abby’s face was contorted, skin glowing, eyes almost fully black with her pupils blown wide. She looked possessed by pleasure. She watched, half detached from her body, as her nails left long, red lines on Erik’s back. When he tilted her chin back down to look at him, she enjoyed a second of her expression mirrored on his face as he gave one final, deep thrust into her still-throbbing body, before dropping his head to muffle his moans in her chest.

A full minute passed before either of them spoke, Erik making soothing sounds in her ear as she came back to herself.

‘Are you okay, Sunshine?’

‘That was…that was…’ Abby’s mind was still a blank pool of nothing.

Erik’s arms tightened around her, his face alight with pure love. ‘I know, baby. I know.’

Forever’s Not Enough – McFly

A

bby blinked her eyes open slowly, lids fluttering against the soft pillowcase.

‘’S the time?’ she mumbled, finally making out the hazy shape of Erik. He sat upright, one hand turning a page in the thick book resting against his drawn up knees. The other stretched out towards her, accounting for the warm, pleasant weight resting at the base of her spine.

‘Almost nine,’ Erik said, moving his hand up to stroke her back gently. ‘You keep passing out after we finish. Is it that good or that traumatic?’ he teased.

‘Good,’ she croaked, rolling onto her side and lifting herself on one arm to see him better. ‘Definitely good.’

The dim lamp lights had turned his skin gold and shone through his hair, forming a halo. He was so beautiful like this—radiant, happy, relaxed—it made her chest ache. The idea that soon she would be able to wake up to this sight every day, feeling his skin against hers, was a dream.

‘Tea? I have more of the cinnamon bun Oreos too.’ Of course he did. Because he was fucking perfect.

‘I love you.’ Abby sighed happily.

‘I know.’ Erik smirked.

When he returned to the bed, two steaming mugs in hand, Abby had dug out her tablet (carefully placed in her bedside cabinet by Erik earlier that afternoon, along with her laptop and their respective chargers) to read the next few chapters of her friend’s upcoming vampire romance.

She had forgotten that she’d left it in the middle of a particularly steamy sex scene until the document loaded and she was immediately confronted by a detailed description of the feel of shibari rope against the heroine’s skin.

Erik’s presence filled her awareness suddenly as he curled over her shoulder, reading silently along with her for a few minutes. For half a second, her instinct to hide the screen in embarrassment reared its head. She tamped it down. This wasn’t a nosy stranger in a coffee shop. It was Erik. He knew what she read.

He seemed to like that she read it.

When he leaned closer and breathed into her ear, ‘You know, if you want me to tie you up, all you have to do is ask,’ her cheeks burst into flame.

The idea held plenty of appeal, but… ‘Historically I haven’t been great at asking for what I want in bed.’ Although. She thought of that morning, when for possibly the first time in her life, she had explicitly said she wanted sex. Her whispered desire to go down on him earlier that evening. ‘I think I’m getting better though. I’m working on it.’

‘I am only too happy to be your practice subject, Sunshine.’ His voice was as gentle as the hand now toying with her hair.

Contentment stirred in her chest. She loved that he was always touching her, teasing her. Loved that now she was allowed to enjoy it unabashedly.

A thoughtful furrow appeared between his eyebrows. ‘Is this related to why you don’t masturbate?’

He asked the question as she took a large sip of tea. ‘You picked up on that, huh?’ she wheezed, somehow managing to keep all the liquid in her body.

‘It’s weirdly adorable that you still don’t understand just how aware I am of every tiny thing you say and do.’
