Finally, he drew her up onto the flotation device, holding her there with his hands on her hips. He was standing waist-deep, which put him at eye-level with her.
“You need a few more lessons, sweet girl.”
“I know.” She pouted. “I thought it might be like riding a bike. That it would all come back to me.”
“It will, with some lessons. Until you have them, though, you’re forbidden from coming in here without me.”
She let out a huge gasp that had her entire body rocking backward. Thankfully, he was holding on to her, or she likely would have fallen into the water.
“Careful,” he warned.
“Forbidden?”
“Forbidden,” he said firmly.
“I still don’t like that word.”
“You don’t have to like it to obey.”
“I see the dark king is back.”
“Baby, the dark king never left. He just softens his edges around you.”
“This is you being soft?”
“Hmm. Maybe soft isn’t the right word to use.”
Jilly hadto grin at his disgruntlement. Seemed she’d found a word he didn’t particularly like.
“Are you soft right now? That would be disappointing.” She moved her foot to his dick, running her toes along the very stiff shaft. “Oh, this doesn’t feel soft. Good to know the cool water doesn’t make things . . . shrink.”
“Brat,” he groaned before tugging her closer. She managed to part her legs without wobbling too much before he slid between them. She placed her hands on his shoulders.
“I want your assurances that you won’t come in here without me.”
Sure, he could be arrogant and demanding. But she could also see a glint of worry in his eyes.
“I won’t. I promise.”
“That’s my girl. You’ve been such a good girl, I think you deserve a reward.”
A reward? Hmm, she liked the sound of that. She perked up, peering down at him. “Like what?”
“Are you cold?”
Jilly shook her head. She was mostly dry now and it was warm in here.
“Sure?” he asked.
“I’m sure.”
“Then I want you to lie back.”
Lie back? On this flimsy board? All right, it wasn’t that flimsy and it could clearly take her weight, but still, she wasn’t that sure.
“Trust me.”
Well, she could hardly say no, now, could she? Or he might think she didn’t trust him.
