“Rabbit, this is both punishment and reward. You know the rules. You know your word. Tell Jackson you know your word.”
“I…” She stops and stares at me again, her pupils big. “I know my word.”
“Good. Now, Rabbit, here’s the deal. You’re going to strip naked. Leave on the heels. I like those.”
Jackson frowns. “Davian?—”
“Shut the fuck up, Jackson. Rabbit knows the rules. Don’t you?”
She nods. Glaring.
“You’re going to strip, lie on your front on the table. I’ll be here, viewing the pretty sight between your legs.Jackson will be up there.”
She doesn’t say a word, so I continue.
“I’m going to strap you down tight, and Jackson’s going to tattoo you.” I turn her and touch the spot right above her ass. “Here.”
Rabbit turns. “Don’t you fucking dare.”
“I dare and I will, and Jackson will. The only way this doesn’t happen is if you use your safe word.”
“Davian—”
“I said shut the fuck up, Jackson.”
I look at Poppy. “Well? Are you going to use your word?”
Silence.
“I don’t know, Davian,” Jackson says, who’s turning into a real pussy.
“Rabbit?”
“I hate you.”
“Tell you what. To make it easier on you both.” I pull my gun that I’ve had tucked away at my back since we got in the car. I put it down near Jackson. “Jackson will give you this gun so you can shoot me if I make him tattoo you after you say your safe word. You can use it any time, and then you get the gun. But no cheating.”
“You’re a fucking bastard, Davian,” she hisses.
“Say your word, or get on the fucking table, Rabbit.”
She glares, then raises her head defiantly.
“Do it.”

POPPY
My skin burns with fury.
And, damn it all, excitement pours gasoline all over that fire.
Davian gets in deep and messes with my head. The worst part? I let him.
I’m so turned on, it doesn’t matter how I ultimately feel. I want to say it’s my body’s betrayal, but it’s not. He connects with something inside me. A hunger I didn’t know I had. And now it’s like I’ve been starved for his kind of twisted my whole life.
