His dark voice tips me over the edge as I ride his hand. Biting my lip to keep from crying out, I whimper as my orgasm shatters me.
“Beautiful,” he whispers. I meet his eyes in the mirror. They’re dark with restrained desire. “Do you see it now?”
His fingers stroke within me, sending a wave of aftershocks through me.
“I see it,” I whisper as the look on his face holds me captivated, drunk on my desire for him.

When Coop rushes Madison away, I almost go after them. She went pale when Seth walked in with Elizabeth. She was already upset when I showed up with Sara. All I wanted to do was draw her into my arms and hold her. Remind her this is an act.
I actually move in the direction they vanished, but Sara’s hand on my arm stops me.
Blake’s eyes meet mine, and I know he feels the urge too. But neither of us makes a move as Seth and Elizabeth join us. We’re here with other women to keep the gossip mill quiet. To everyone else, Coop and Madison are dating.
“Good evening.” Seth glances in the direction Coop and Madison disappeared with a frown tugging on his lips.
We make the introductions. Even Kayla seems intimidated by Elizabeth. I don’t blame her. Elizabeth is hard and there’s a shrewdness in her eyes that’s difficult to miss. She smiles softly up at Seth who doesn’t even meet her eyes.
“Cocktails last for another fifteen minutes,” Blake says to fill the awkward silence.
A waiter stops with a tray full of champagne flutes. We all take fresh drinks.
“Is everything all right with Coop and Madison?” Seth downs his glass of champagne as if he’s been in the desert for days.
“Is there anything wrong with Coop and Madison, because to me they’re fucking perfect.” Kayla fans herself. “I mean, you all look very nice, and I’d take any of you. Well, except you, Blake. Ew.”
“Thankfully you do have a limit,” Blake mutters.
I take a sip of champagne before meeting Seth’s eyes. I glance at Elizabeth and raise my eyebrows. Seeing them together is what made Madison take off. He sighs. It was the wrong move to bring Elizabeth. Yes, it was easy and should have been a nonthreat to Madison, but Elizabeth clings to Seth like she’s never going to let go.
I’m worried she’s going to become another problem we’ll have to deal with.
“How do you all know each other?” Sara asks.
“We grew up together and own Morrigan Technology Group.” Seth shifts on his feet, moving slightly away from Elizabeth. She shifts with him, undeterred. Her hand remains wrapped around his arm possessively.
Sara glances at me with a smile. “That’s amazing. I always thought it would be nice to have friends to work with.”
“Do you work?” Blake glances toward the hallway Coop and Madison disappeared down. Fuck, he needs to knock that shit off. These women will either think he’s into Madison or Coop. I don’t know which would be worse.
Sara laughs brightly. “No, I’m still in college for another year. Finishing my masters, though I’m considering getting my doctorate to teach. But I might stop and find a job for a while before continuing my education.”
“What are you studying?” Kayla asks. Her eyes watch all of us like a hawk. A few years younger than Blake, she’s known us since we were kids. She might catch on to our concern, but maybe she’ll think it’s for Coop.
“Accounting.”
That draws my attention. Sara smiles.
“You didn’t mention that.” Did she? In all the texts we sent back and forth? I knew she was in graduate school, but how could I not know her major?
“Funny, I thought I did.” Sara shrugs. “Don’t worry, I’m not after your job.”
The women chuckle slightly.
Seth releases a breath and his shoulders loosen. I turn to see Coop and Madison making their way through the crowd. Madison’s cheeks are flushed with color, and Coop holds her close to him.
She looks breathtaking tonight. Every inch of her makes me want to drag her into a dark corner and ravish her. But the only one who might get away with that is Coop. Hell, he might have already.
