Chapter 123

Square the Circle

Coop

The car stops in front of Sara’s house.

“I hope you feel better.” Sara takes Madison’s hand and squeezes it.

“Be right back.” Noah steps out of the car and holds his hand out to help Sara.

Madison’s hand tightens on mine as Noah offers his arm for the walk. Sighing, she looks down. It eats her up inside seeing us with other women.

At least I don’t have to keep up a charade. Unless one counts going out with just one woman a sham for me, which normally it would be, but not with Madison. She’s all I need.

She turns to me and clears her throat. “Did you mean what you told Sara before dinner?”

Yeah, knew that wouldn’t slip by her. I smirk to hide the pounding of my heart.

“That I like red wine better than white?” I know what she’s talking about. It wasn’t a slip of the tongue or some ruse to keep up appearances. It’s the best way I have of describing what I feel for her. But I don’t know how to express myself in a normal way.

Her mouth drops open like she can’t believe I just said that.

I chuckle and lift her chin with my finger to close her mouth. Drawing her to sit sideways on my lap, I tip her chin up so that our eyes meet.

“I’m not good with emotions.” I swallow, hoping I don’t put my foot in my mouth. “Growing up, emotions weren’t nurtured, they were looked down upon. My parents didn’t show their affection, and whether they loved me or I was just a necessity to continue their line was up for debate.”

“Coop—‍” Her soft eyes want to give me an easy out. I’m not here for that. Not this time.

“No, it’s true. So do I know what love is?” I shrug. “I would do anything for Blake, Seth, and Noah. If they need me, I’ll drop everything and come running. I’ll fight for them. Stand up for them. Is that love? They’d do the same for me. So is that because we need people in our lives or is that love?”

She doesn’t answer. Her fingertips trace my jaw. Red rims her eyes from crying over Seth. I want to punch him for hurting her, but she wouldn’t want me to. Everything about her is better than I deserve, but I can’t help but want to own some part of her heart. It’s selfish, but I don’t give a fuck.

“You make me feel wanted, needed, and a part of something so good that we’d be fools to let you go. When you smile, I want to smile. When you cry, I feel this ache deep inside me. I need to protect you and care for you. I want to fuck you with my friends and without. You are part of my life. So if that qualifies as love, then I’m all in.”

Madison’s eyes tear up.

“I didn’t say it to make you cry again.” I brush the stray tears off her cheeks.

She rises on her knees and tugs her skirt up so she can straddle my lap. When she captures my face between her hands, she searches my eyes in the dim streetlight.

“Coop, I love you. And I would do anything for you.” Her words are fiercely spoken. “I can’t imagine my life without you in it.”

“Good, because you’re stuck with me. I love you, goddess.” I capture the back of her neck and kiss her, needing to feel this connection. With one hand, I work on my pants, needing more. Needing to solidify what she makes me feel.

She reaches down and helps me free my cock before she sinks over me, taking me into her body. We groan into each other’s mouths at the feel. Our tongues tangle as she rises and sinks on me again.

“How long was I gone for?” Noah asks as he slides into his seat and closes the door.

“Not long enough, obviously.” I grin at him before dragging Madison’s mouth back to mine. She grinds down on me, but it’s not enough.

I shift with her in the seat until I lay her back with her head on Noah’s lap. Drawing her leg up onto my shoulder, I thrust in deeper. Her moan fills the car. Fuck, I could spend eternity listening to her make all those noises.

Noah brushes her hair out of her face and slides his hand down along her neckline. “What’s the occasion?”

“Coop told me he loves me,” Madison pants out as I thrust deep into her welcoming cunt, taking long strokes, wanting to draw this out. She trembles beneath me.

“Finally.” Noah arches an eyebrow at me.
