She stands and straightens her dress before she heads to the door.
“We’ve got a client lunch today. Review the client file.” I’m already sitting and pulling up files on my computer.
“Yes, sir.”
I can almost hear her eyes roll from here, but I let it go. Today is a busy day, and as much as I like to play with Madison, it’s time to get some work done.

Madison
The day drags on. I don’t think there’s enough coffee in the world to make me feel perky today. Not even my morning spanking woke me up.
Last night, Noah kept his word. Kept me tied to his bed all night as he used me over and over again. He might have wanted to keep me from coming originally. Instead, after passing out from so many orgasms and only an hour of sleep, I woke in desperate need of a shower to him untying my hands.
He didn’t completely cover me in cum, but it was pretty much everywhere. Not once did I consider using my safe word to make him stop. I didn’t want him to stop. I stripped the bed and threw the sheets in the washing machine before coming upstairs. The only good thing about this morning is my period is definitely done.
The landline rings on my desk.
“Morrigan Technology Group, this is Madison. How may I help you?”
“Madison, this is Anna Beck.” Her voice is bright and cheerful. But I don’t know why she’d be calling me. Maybe she wants to talk to one of the guys?
“Good morning, Anna. How may I help you?”
“I wanted to see about that lunch.”
That’s right. At the benefit Anna said we should get lunch. I completely put it out of my mind, not just because of the attack, but because I figured it was just something she said to everyone. That whole “we need to get together” line but then no one ever does anything about it.
“Lunch?”
“Yes.” Anna laughs lightly. “Lunch on me. We didn’t have a chance to catch up at the benefit, and what you went through?—”
Her voice cuts off and I hear a sniff. I didn’t realize Anna cared that much about me. I loved working for her. The kids were easy. But at the benefit, she treated me like a long-lost friend.
“I’m fine. Yes, lunch would be nice. Maybe this weekend?” I glance up as Coop comes out of his office and leans against my desk.
“I’m so glad you’re okay.” She takes a breath. “This weekend works. How about Sunday?”
I glance at Coop and he raises a curious eyebrow. “Sunday lunch sounds great, Anna. I can’t wait to catch up.”
“Fabulous. Let me know your cell number so I can text you the time and place.”
I give her my new number, and she texts me right away with her name. Coop continues to watch me with a confused expression.
“I’ll see you Sunday.” Anna once again sounds happy and then ends the call.
I set the phone in the cradle. “Did you need me, Coop?”
“Always, sweetheart. Anna . . . ?” He glances at the phone.
“Anna Beck. Patrick’s wife. I used to babysit for their kids.” I smile, thinking about their children. “It was fun, but not the type of experience I needed during college.”
“Hmm.” Coop doesn’t get up to leave or tell me what he wants.
Noah steps out of his office and we both look at him. “You ready for our lunch?”
